Editorial Policy
This page explains how the guides, calculators and buying guides on ExpressBizTools are made, so you can judge how far to trust them. It applies to everything published on the site by DixonAppStudio LLC.
Sources
Tax rules come from the IRS and state revenue departments; business-formation guidance from the U.S. Small Business Administration. Card-processing fees, plan prices and hardware specifications come from the provider's or manufacturer's own published pages. Those change often, so guides describe how a fee is structured and what to ask, and give figures as examples with the date we checked them rather than as promises.
Calculators
Every calculator runs in your browser, shows the formula it uses beside the result and explains what the number means. Results are estimates built from the numbers you enter. They are not tax, legal or financial advice, and a figure that depends on your state, contract or circumstances is described as such.
Our own product
ExpressBizTools is also the name of our free browser app. When a guide lists it next to other tools, it is because it is one of the free options, not because it has been independently tested against the others. We describe what it does and does not do today; we do not list features that are planned but not built.
Advertising and affiliate links
Ads are served by Google AdSense and are labelled "Advertisement". Buying guides link to products on Amazon; as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, and those links are marked as sponsored. Product names, images, prices and star ratings on those pages come from Amazon and belong to Amazon and its sellers — we do not write or edit them, and we do not publish our own product reviews. Advertisers and retailers do not see content before publication and cannot pay for a recommendation.
What we do not publish
Invented testimonials, reviews, ratings or user counts; statistics we cannot trace to a source; guaranteed savings or earnings; and pages that exist only to repeat another page with a different keyword. We removed a set of thin product-comparison pages in September 2026 for that reason.
Corrections
If something is wrong, email support@dixonappstudio.com with the page address. We check every report, correct the page if it is wrong and reply to tell you what changed.
Use of AI tools
We use software tools, including AI writing assistants, to help draft and check pages. A person at the studio decides what is published, and every calculator formula is written and tested as code.
